IISIS Reincarnation Research Mission Statement

by Walter Semkiw, MD

The mission of IISIS is to promote reincarnation research and work with an international community to enact the positive social change that evidence of reincarnation can bring.

Independently researched reincarnation cases, in particular those published by the late Ian Stevenson, MD, of the University of Virginia Division of Perceptual Studies, in aggregate provide proof of reincarnation.

Significantly, Jim Tucker, MD, a psychiatrist who has taken over for Dr. Stevenson at the University of Virginia has stated on US national television that sufficient evidence now exists to conclude that reincarnation exists. Dr. Tucker made this statement when he appeared on TV with James Leininger after the James Huston Jr. | James Leininger case was aired on ABC Primetime.

Reincarnation research shows that religion, nationality and ethnic affiliation can change from one incarnation to another. Most conflicts and wars are based on differences in these affiliations and evidence of reincarnation can mitigate conflicts based on differences in these markers of identity.

To have a positive impact, key cases that together provide proof of reincarnation must be available to people of diverse cultures, which is why the IISIS website is programmed for translation into multiple languages.  We are now seeking funding for the translation of reincarnation cases.

A template for the translation of key cases is provided on the page entitled Principles of Reincarnation, along with the 21 independently researched cases that are cited on that page.
